LPM AVIT VJtalks online

VJ Talks are an initiative by avit to encourage peer-to-peer exchange and understanding. Simply put, when you’ve got a festival full of VJs, it would be a shame not to share. So stepping out behind the laptops, avit has encouraged artists to talk about their work and the issues facing vjing. First held at Contact Europe, Berlin, 2004, vjtalks were revived for 2008’s Live Performers’ Meeting, where we have tried to condense down the round-table discussions into some short, filmed interviews that can be shared online.

Jaromil announces freej v0.10 and talks about open-source media tools, including the dynebolic live cd distro, akira hosts a discussion on 8-bit culture, artist residencies and more, fRED with a wholly roman round talking to Diego about audio-visual connection and to LPM organiser Gianluca, Todd discusses putting yourself into the visuals with flux and joanna, and Brendan rounds up many of the discussed themes during the festival.
