n-is

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

N-is is not a vj - he is more an artmusicvideografucka.
He works in different kind of media like in art, film, motiondesign, interface design, events, product design, music, stencil and canvas.
He began vjing in the august 2003 at the Fringe festival in Edinburgh. He enjoyed the videocutting so much, that he had produced now over 4000 videoloops. In the same year he started to develope a vdj software, but this is not available for the mass!

The style of him is a crazy mix of realvideo, experimental motion and animation,
which has a logic and a sense in his content.
N-is worked for Pat Appleton [de-phazz], Campy Capstan, Ich und Lars, Icke, Framepool and T-Com. He played in Clubs of Berlin like Café Moskau, Rosis, Kapital, Bastard, Station Park and E-werk – but he also played in other cities of germany like Köln [Müllembridge Madness] and in Cottbus.
In 2005 n-is developed vps-fuck an interactive videoprintusedinstallation, which is steered by the movements of the visitor.
In october 2006 n-is became the best vj opus by jury at the Cinetrip Vj Tourna in Budapest. 2 weeks later he won the 1st prize by the vj contest at metropuls festival-metro:pictures in Herne-Dorthmund.

kon.txt

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

In 2005 five students of MultiMediaArt at the Fachhochschule Salzburg founded the visual-artist-group kon.txt. They are concentrating on room concepts by playing with the opportunities of projection. In doing so, they are dealing with the digital video-culture and it’s narrative and abstract elements on the one hand, and the generative attributes of digital media on the other. Their professional responsibility is including the production of video clips, animations and short-films, the live-mixing and generating at events and also the whole framing of an event as far as non-temporary work like installations. kon.txt is a constant part of the AV-Act L’egojazz (Munich) and furthermore works together closely with the live performing artist Dorian Concept (Vienna). The straight and continuous teamwork allows a constant development of their concepts.

1n0ut

Monday, November 20th, 2006

1n0ut (Robert Praxmarer and Reinhold Bidner) is an artist collective from Austria that works both collaboratively and individually on a variety of video and interactive art projects with a focus on generating synesthetic experiences. The artists mix analogue and digital processes in their work to achieve a perfect aesthetic blend which can be understood as a reflection upon all of our lives. Cross-disciplinary by nature, their approaches reach from a self programmed real-time video montage system based on Praxmarer’s ongoing PhD work to the charming photo stills and composed video works from Bidner. Both like to think in shades of grey - between black and white - which gives the audience an experience of fuzziness, fault and, despite algorithmic perfection, harmony.

After 8 months in Prague (Pepinieres Europeennes art residency) 1n0ut is now based in Linz (austria) again, working on various forms of music visualisations: last gigs were:

- oct. 2006: VAD Festival (Girona, Spain)
- oct  2006: Move Festival Prague
- sept. 2006: 5 years jubilee LeopoldMuseum: Vienna
- sept. 2006: Ars Electronica Festival.  Classical Concert Visualisation: Phillip Manoury: “Sound and Fury”.  conducted by Dennis Russell Davies, Brucknerorchester, Linz (At)
